The contained polyglutamic acid (0.5%), also known as PGA, is a natural polymer obtained through a biotechnological process by fermenting soybeans. Polyglutamic acid forms a protective film on the skin surface to minimize moisture loss and increase the skin's ability to store moisture (depot effect). Due to these water-binding properties, PGA, as proven in scientific studies, can store up to four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid.
