How often should I use a facial exfoliant? Generally, all skin types can tolerate an exfoliant. Depending on your skin type, you can adjust the frequency of facial exfoliation individually. Note: Exfoliating can temporarily make your skin more sensitive to the sun. For this reason, it’s best to use an exfoliant in the evening, allowing your skin to regenerate overnight.

1-2 times per week Facial Scrub: Normal Skin For healthy, problem-free skin, use an exfoliant 1–2 times per week. This helps ensure that the natural skin barrier is not negatively affected.

1-2 times per week Facial Exfoliant: Blemish-Prone Skin Blemish-prone skin can tolerate exfoliation 1–2 times per week to remove excess sebum and help prevent pimples and blackheads.

Once a week Facial Exfoliant: Dry Skin For dry skin, use a moisturizing exfoliant once a week for gentle care.

Once a month Facial Exfoliant: Sensitive Skin If you have sensitive skin, opt for a very gentle exfoliant just once a month.

Always use exfoliants that are specifically formulated for the face. A good facial exfoliant not only leaves your skin fresh and rosy but also provides deep pore cleansing. Facial Exfoliant: Step by Step

Facial cleansing.

Apply the exfoliant to damp skin on your face, neck, and décolleté. Be careful to avoid the eye area and prevent particles from getting into your eyes.

Using circular finger movements, exfoliate your face. Pay extra attention to the nose area for a deep cleanse, and use lighter pressure on the cheeks.

Next, gently exfoliate your neck and décolleté.

Rinse the exfoliant off with warm water. Residues can also be gently wiped away with a damp cloth or washcloth.

Apply a serum and/or cream to your face, neck, and décolleté for optimal care.
